"Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a nine-part composition by the English rock band Pink Floyd for their 1975 album Wish You Were Here. It was written by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright, and first performed on Pink Floyd's 1974 French tour. The song is written about the Pink Floyd founding member Syd Barrett, who left in 1968 following mental health problems.
