Hip hopTrap

Smokepurpp is a Hip hop and Trap act. Their sound grew out of Taking Back Sunday, Every Avenue, Kanye West, Cactus Jack Records and KSI. Those roots explain a lot about how Smokepurpp arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Lil Pump, Famous Dex, MadeinTYO, Nav and Bass Santana, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Lil Pump and Larry June, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Smokepurpp, reaching back through Taking Back Sunday and forward to Lil Pump.
