Tagaq

Folk
Folk

Tagaq is a Folk act. Their sound grew out of Björk. Those roots explain a lot about how Tagaq arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Kaigal-ool Khovalyg, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Buffy Sainte-Marie, July Talk and Crown Lands, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 5 connections around Tagaq, reaching back through Björk and forward to Buffy Sainte-Marie. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
