Texas Is the Reason

Emo
EmoIndie rock

Texas Is the Reason is a Emo and Indie rock act. Their sound grew out of Samiam, The Promise Ring, Jawbreaker, Quicksand and Far. Those roots explain a lot about how Texas Is the Reason arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Braid, The Jazz June, Rainer Maria, Cap'n Jazz and Jejune, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Solea, Jets to Brazil, The Promise Ring, Balance and Composure and Turnover, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around Texas Is the Reason, reaching back through Samiam and forward to Solea. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
