The Bronx

Hardcore punk

The Bronx is a Hardcore punk act. Their sound grew out of Milo Goes to College, Sunday's Best, Danko Jones, Against Me! and Rival Schools. Those roots explain a lot about how The Bronx arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Rocket from the Crypt, Snapcase, The Menzingers, A Wilhelm Scream and Off with Their Heads, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Schoolly D, PUP, Code Orange, Eagles of Death Metal and Leathermouth, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 26 connections around The Bronx, reaching back through Milo Goes to College and forward to Schoolly D. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
