◇ image via WikipediaThe Faith
The Faith is a Hardcore punk and Punk rock act. Their sound grew out of Untouchables. Those roots explain a lot about how The Faith arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Void, The Teen Idles, Dag Nasty, Verbal Abuse and Gray Matter, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Dischord Records, Rites of Spring and Inside Out, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 16 connections around The Faith, reaching back through Untouchables and forward to Dischord Records. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
