The Moog is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Blondie, Bauhaus, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin and Placebo. Those roots explain a lot about how The Moog arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Children Collide, The Von Bondies, The Cinematics, Jon Fratelli and The Orwells, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The B-52's, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 40 connections around The Moog, reaching back through Blondie and forward to The B-52's. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
