The Ready Set

Electropop
Electropop

The Ready Set is a Electropop act. Their sound grew out of Forever the Sickest Kids, Marianas Trench, Kanye West, Emblem3 and Daft Punk. Those roots explain a lot about how The Ready Set arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Allstar Weekend, Hot Chelle Rae, A Rocket to the Moon, Hellogoodbye and The Downtown Fiction, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Owl City, Scene Queen and Allstar Weekend, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 27 connections around The Ready Set, reaching back through Forever the Sickest Kids and forward to Owl City. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
