Parachute is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Daryl Hall, SafetySuit and Charles Kelley. Those roots explain a lot about how Parachute arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Hot Chelle Rae, Five for Fighting, The Script, Gavin DeGraw and Michelle Branch, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Hot Chelle Rae, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, The Script and Kelly Clarkson, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 51 connections around Parachute, reaching back through Daryl Hall and forward to Hot Chelle Rae. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
