The Sight Below

The Sight Below is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Eluvium, Slowdive, Windy & Carl, Radiohead and Joy Division. Those roots explain a lot about how The Sight Below arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Rafael Anton Irisarri, Loscil, Abul Mogard, Murcof and Windy & Carl, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Fennesz, Biosphere, Eluvium, Slowdive and School of Seven Bells, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 30 connections around The Sight Below, reaching back through Eluvium and forward to Fennesz. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
