The Wilde Flowers is a Psychedelic rock act. Their sound grew out of Mose Allison and Chuck Berry. Those roots explain a lot about how The Wilde Flowers arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Richard Sinclair, The Syn, Pip Pyle, Writing on the Wall and Ramases, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Caravan and Soft Machine, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 11 connections around The Wilde Flowers, reaching back through Mose Allison and forward to Caravan.
