Vicente Greco is a Tango act. Their sound grew out of Lorenzo. Those roots explain a lot about how Vicente Greco arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Osvaldo Fresedo, Domingo Federico, Juan de Dios Filiberto, Carlos di Sarli and Florindo Sassone, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Francisco Canaro and Carlos Gardel, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 9 connections around Vicente Greco, reaching back through Lorenzo and forward to Francisco Canaro.
