Voltaire

Voltaire is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Zombina and the Skeletones, Morrissey, Tom Waits, Cab Calloway and Danny Elfman. Those roots explain a lot about how Voltaire arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sarah and the Safe Word, Will Wood and the Tapeworms and Amanda Palmer, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 13 connections around Voltaire, reaching back through Zombina and the Skeletones. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
