Punk rock

Wizo is a Punk rock act. Their sound grew out of Hass, The Exploited, Judas Priest, Ace of Base and Die Ärzte. Those roots explain a lot about how Wizo arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Farin Urlaub, Deine Cousine and Farin Urlaub Racing Team, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Hi-Standard and AURORA, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 11 connections around Wizo, reaching back through Hass and forward to Hi-Standard. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
