Dance-popIndie rockPop

AURORA is a Dance-pop and Indie rock act. Their catalogue also touches Pop and Synth-pop. Their sound grew out of Lasgo, Biig Piig, Michael Jackson, Ane Brun and Wizo. Those roots explain a lot about how AURORA arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Marina, Billie Eilish, Sigrid, Melanie Martinez and Susanne Sundfør, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Haru Nemuri, Sub Urban, Adonxs, Above & Beyond and Björk, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around AURORA, reaching back through Lasgo and forward to Haru Nemuri. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
