Say She She is an American disco/funk group from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2021. The group is led by classically trained singers Piya Malik, Sabrina Cunningham, and Nya Brown, who are supported by a backing band. Their music, self-described as "discodelic soul" with "dreamy harmonies," prominently combines disco and 70s funk, among other influences. The group cites Nile Rodgers and Chic as major influences on their sound. Their most recent album Cut & Rewind was released in October 2025.

Roy Edward Ayers Jr. was an American vibraphonist, record producer, and composer. Ayers began his career as a post-bop jazz artist, releasing several studio albums with Atlantic Records, before his tenure at Polydor Records beginning in the 1970s, during which he helped to pioneer jazz-funk. He was a key figure in the acid jazz movement, and has been described as "The Godfather of Neo Soul". He was best known for his compositions "Everybody Loves the Sunshine", "Running Away", and "Freaky Deaky" and others that charted in the 1970s. At one time, Ayers was listed among the performers whose music was most often sampled by rappers.

Rosie Lowe is an English singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence with her debut single "Right Thing", released in November 2013. She released her debut extended play under the same name the following year. Her 2016 debut album Control contains the singles "Worry 'Bout Us", "Woman", and, featuring vocals from rapper Little Simz, "So Human". "Woman" was featured in the soundtrack for the 2017 film The Last Word.

Vincent E. Williams better known by his stage name DJ Spinna, is an American hip hop and deep house producer from Brooklyn. According to AllMusic, he has "remained strictly an underground artist despite his astonishing talent."

The S.O.S. Band is an American R&B and electro-funk group formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1977. The original lineup featured Mary Davis, Jason Bryant (keyboards), Billy Ellis and Willie “Sonny” Killebrew (horns), Bruno Speight (guitar), John Simpson (bass), and James Earl Jones III (drums).
