Fresno is a Brazilian rock band formed in Porto Alegre in late 1999. As of 2026, members are Lucas Silveira, Gustavo Mantovani and Thiago Guerra (drums). The band has released eleven studio albums, with the latest being “Carta de Adeus”, released on April 18th, 2026.

Forfun was a Brazilian alternative rock band which reached the peak of its popularity in the mid- to late 2000s. Formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2001, their initial line-up comprised vocalist/guitarist Danilo Cutrim, bassist Vítor Isensee and drummer Bruno Tizé. By 2002, Tizé left the band and was replaced by Nicholas Christ, while Isensee switched his position with Rodrigo Costa to become second guitarist. Their first shows were frequently attended by the sons of then-Deputy Jair Bolsonaro, Eduardo and Carlos, who were personal friends of the bandmembers; Eduardo would later cameo in the music video for "História de Verão". They released in 2003 the demo album Das Pistas de Skate às Pistas de Dança, which was a significant underground hit, and in 2005 their official debut, Teoria Dinâmica Gastativa, produced by Liminha, came out through Universal Music Group.

Canto dos Malditos na Terra do Nunca, abbreviated CMTN, is a Brazilian alternative rock band known for the deep voice of the female vocalist, Andréa Martins, and for their songs, which combine poetic lyrics and heavy guitars. After initial success, including heavy rotation of "Olha Minha Cara" on MTV Brasil and a "Best New Artist" nomination, they disbanded, but reunited in 2012 and have gone on tour.

Maria Luiza de Arruda Botelho Pereira de Magalhães, known as Mallu Magalhães, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician. Mallu first came to prominence through her MySpace page, becoming known for her own songs and those of other artists. She found herself gracing the covers of major newspapers such as Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo and Jornal do Brasil, and was featured in Rolling Stone, Istoé, Época among others. In the first two years of career, she became the subject of countless blogs, packed shows, attracted critical attention, and had more than 4 million hits on her MySpace page. In 2008 she released her first eponymous album and in 2009 she released her second album, also self-titled. In 2013 she formed Banda do Mar, along with her husband Marcelo Camelo, and the Portuguese drummer Fred Ferreira. Their first album was released in August 2014. Mallu has a daughter, Luísa, born December 28, 2015.
