Les Rita Mitsouko were a French pop rock group formed by Fred Chichin and Catherine Ringer. The duo first performed as Rita Mitsouko at Gibus Club in Paris in 1980. They went on to become one of the most acclaimed musical acts in France. "Marcia Baila", their debut single produced by Conny Plank, went to number 2 in the French singles chart in 1984. They then started a collaboration with producer Tony Visconti on two albums: the No Comprendo (1986) and Marc & Robert (1988). "Singing in the Shower", sung as a duet with Sparks, was a commercial success in France and was then heavily played on US dance radio stations in 1988. Iggy Pop also collaborated with them on 1993's Système D, duetting with Ringer on "My Love Is Bad".

Louise Attaque is a French chanson/folk rock band founded in 1994. Several of the group's albums were produced by Gordon Gano, lead singer of Violent Femmes, a band whom Louise Attaque often cites as an influence and for whom their own band is named. The band is signed to the Atmosphériques record label.

The band performed at the Parisian nightclub Golf-Drouot before signing to Barclay Records and finding almost instant success; in 1961 it sold two million records.

They mix different forms of popular music into their songs in addition to world music, although predominantly with an electronic and experimental rock sound. Their lyrics are mostly in English, although they sometimes sing in French and Spanish.

No One Is Innocent, stylized as [no one is innocent], is a French rock band originating from Paris featuring the French Armenian Kémar Gulbenkian as main vocalist. The band was established in 1994 charting with their 1994 hit "La peau". The band that saw a number of changes in its line-up has released five studio and two live albums.

It achieved significant success in the 1980s across the Francophone world, Europe, and Latin America with hit songs L'Aventurier and Canary Bay. After releasing several critically praised but commercially disappointing albums in the 1990s, the band experienced a resurgence with the 2002 album Paradize. To date, Indochine has sold over 10 million albums and singles worldwide.
