Mild Orange is a New Zealand dream pop and indie rock band formed in Dunedin, Otago, in 2016. The band is composed of four friends, Josh Mehrtens, Josh Reid, Tom Kelk, and Jack Ferguson (drums), who met while studying at the University of Otago.

Flipturn is an American indie rock band from Fernandina Beach, Florida formed in 2015. The band consists of founding members Dillon Basse (vocals), Tristan Duncan (guitar) and Madeline Jarman (bass) who founded the band as high school seniors. Coin was an American pop rock band formed in 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band originally released two EPs, one in 2012 (Saturdays) and one in 2013 (1992). Atlas Genius is an Australian alternative rock band formed in Adelaide, Australia in November 2009. The band's mainstay members are the Jeffery brothers, Keith on lead vocals and lead guitar; Michael on drums; and Darren Sell on keyboard. Their debut album, When It Was Now, was issued on 9 February 2013 and peaked at No. 34 on the United States Billboard 200. In 2013 two of their singles appeared on the related Alternative Songs Chart, "Trojans" at No. 4 and "If So" at No. 8. In 2013 the group toured the US in April and May, United Kingdom in May, and back to the US in August.

The band's sound is inspired from 1970s and 1980s post-punk pioneers like The Cure and Elvis Costello. Their second album was released on September 16, 2016, titled Disappear Here. Their third album, Mystic Truth, was released on March 22, 2019. Their fourth album, Apocalypse Whenever, was released on January 28, 2022. Their second extended play, Infinite Joy, was released on November 17, 2023. Their fifth album, Accelerator, was released on August 8, 2025.

Their musical inclinations appear to be firmly rooted in the UK and Australia, drawing inspiration from artists such as Little Comets, Last Dinosaurs, Bombay Bicycle Club, and King Krule. They are signed to Psychic Hotline in the United States and Transgressive Records in the United Kingdom. The band has performed at South by Southwest, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Summerfest and Reading and Leeds Festivals, Hinterland Music Festival, as well as on Conan. Hippo Campus were named one of NPR Music's favorite new artists of 2017.
