Robert Randolph and the Family Band is an American gospel band led by pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph. NPR has described the band as one with an "irresistible rock 'n' roll swagger". The band has released six studio albums and has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, winning the 2026 Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album for the album Preacher Kids.

Southern Avenue is an American five- to six-member blues and soul blues band from Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Rock 103 described them as "the most talked about band in Memphis." Southern Avenue reached the finals of the International Blues Challenge in 2016.

Michael Burks was an American electric blues and soul blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is best known for his tracks, "Everybody's Got Their Hand Out", "I Smell Smoke" and "Hard Come, Easy Go", and variously worked with Johnnie Taylor, O. V. Wright, and Marquise Knox. He was the son of the bassist, Frederick Burks.
