The Notwist are a German indie rock band. Formed in 1989, the band moved through several musical incarnations, despite maintaining a relatively stable line-up. While their early records moved through heavy metal into dark indie rock, their recent efforts for which they have received the most attention have been strongly influenced by the electronica scene, along with other groups on the record label Morr Music.

Selig ("Blessed") is a German rock band from Hamburg, which was most famous in the 1990s for a mixture of experimental 1970s rock and grunge.

Bilderbuch is an Austrian rock band and was formed in Kremsmünster, Austria in 2005 but has been based in Vienna since 2008. The current band members are Maurice Ernst, Peter Horazdovsky (bass), Michael Krammer (guitar) and Philipp Scheibl (drums). The band has released 7 albums as of 2022. The band began with indie rock, but over the years increasingly adopted elements of hip hop, electronic music and various pop styles.

Deichkind is a German electropunk band formed in Hamburg in 1997. Current members are “Kryptik Joe” alias Philipp Grütering (rapper/songwriter), Henning “DJ Phono” Besser (DJ), Sebastian “Porky” Dürre (rapper/songwriter) and Roland “Roy” Knauf (producer). Deichkind started with hip hop, later added elements of electronic dance music to its style. The band themselves call their music TechRap as a combination of techno and rap music. The songs are often satirical and criticize consumerism and the performance-oriented society.
