Sammy Rae & The Friends is an American jazz-pop band from Brooklyn, New York City, led by singer-songwriter Samantha "Sammy Rae" Bowers. Formed in 2016, the group is known for high-energy live shows; in February 2024 they played two sold-out nights at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club. Their debut studio album, Something for Everybody, was released on September 20, 2024, via Nettwerk, following the EPs The Good Life (2018) and Let's Throw a Party (2021).

"The Edge of Glory" is a song by American singer Lady Gaga from her second studio album, Born This Way (2011). The song was released on May 9, 2011, as the album's third single. Initially released as one of two promotional singles for Born This Way, it shortly became a single following its success in digital outlets worldwide. The song was written and produced by Gaga and Fernando Garibay, and is a pop, electro-rock, and disco song that speaks of the last moments of life. According to Gaga, lyrical inspiration came from the death of her grandfather, who died in September 2010. Along with a saxophone solo played by Clarence Clemons, the melody of the song resembles much of the musical works of Bruce Springsteen, and contains several qualities similar to that of 1980s adult contemporary musical works.

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes are an American musical group from the Jersey Shore formerly led by Southside Johnny. They have been recording albums since 1976 and are closely associated with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. They have recorded or performed several Springsteen songs, including "The Fever" (1973) and "Fade Away" (1980). Springsteen has also performed with the band on several occasions. In 1991, Springsteen and the E Street band appeared on Southside Johnny's Better Days album.

Gaynor Sullivan, known professionally as Bonnie Tyler, was a Welsh singer. Known for her distinctive husky voice, she came to prominence with the release of her debut studio album The World Starts Tonight (1977) and its singles "Lost in France" and "More Than a Lover". Her 1977 single "It's a Heartache" reached number four on the UK singles chart and number three on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Air Supply are a soft rock duo formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975, consisting of English singer-songwriter and guitarist Graham Russell and Australian singer Russell Hitchcock.
