Jason Schwartzman, now primarily an actor, was a founding member of the band, serving as the band's drummer until 2003.

Massacration is a fictional American heavy metal band created by Brazilian humorists and musicians Bruno Sutter, Fausto Fanti and Marco Antônio Alves, and actors Adriano Silva and Felipe Torres, all of them part of the comedy troupe Hermes & Renato. Heavily influenced by the similar semi-fictional metal act Spinal Tap and self-styled as "a banda da galera", Massacration is a light-hearted parody of heavy metal subculture and "metalhead/headbanger" stereotypes, lampooning the music and aesthetics of such famous metal bands as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Manowar, Sepultura, Angra, among others. The band's music features humorous lyrics written in a combination of intentionally broken English and Portuguese, sung in an exaggerated falsetto by Sutter.

She is best known for her 2009 single "You're the One", which peaked at number six on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. The song preceded her debut studio album Dondria vs. Phatfffat (2010), which was released by So Do Def and Geffen Records, and peaked at number 51 on the Billboard 200.

Daniel Dwayne "Diggy" Simmons III is an American rapper, singer and actor from Queens, New York City. The fourth child of Run-DMC's Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons, he began his recording career in 2009 and signed with Atlantic Records the following year. In 2011, his single "Do It Like You" and guest appearance on Mindless Behavior's single "Mrs. Right" marked his first and only entries on the Billboard Hot 100. The former preceded the release of debut studio album, Unexpected Arrival (2012), which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard 200 and was met with positive critical reception. He was chosen as part of XXL magazine's 2011 Annual Freshman List, and joined Lupe Fiasco's short-lived rap collective, All City Chess Club as its youngest member that same year.

Ice Nine Kills is an American heavy metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. The band's music is primarily described as horror-themed metalcore, but incorporates many other musical styles. It was originally a ska punk band called Ice Nine, formed in 2000 by high school friends Spencer Charnas and Jeremy Schwartz, before adopting a metalcore style in 2010. Charnas is currently the only remaining founding member. The band is signed to Fearless Records.

Evermore were a rock band formed in Feilding, New Zealand, in 1999, made up of three brothers Jon, Peter and Dann Hume. The band was based in Sydney from 2004 to 2007 and then Melbourne until they became inactive in 2014. Evermore released four studio albums: Dreams (2004), Real Life (2006), Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show (2009), and Follow the Sun (2012), as well as a self-titled compilation album (2010). Real Life and Truth of the World were their highest-charting studio albums in New Zealand and Australia, while Dreams and Real Life received platinum certifications from Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).

Good Girl Gone Bad is the third studio album by the Barbadian singer Rihanna. It was released on May 31, 2007, by Def Jam Recordings and SRP Records. Rihanna worked with various producers on the album, including Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Neo Da Matrix, Timbaland, Carl Sturken, Evan Rogers and Stargate. Inspired by Brandy's fourth studio album Afrodisiac (2004), Good Girl Gone Bad is a pop, dance-pop and R&B record with 1980s music influences. Described as a turning point in Rihanna's career, it represents a departure from the Caribbean sound of her previous releases, Music of the Sun (2005) and A Girl Like Me (2006). Apart from the sound, she also endorsed a new image for the release, going from an innocent young woman to an edgier, more mature look.

"Echo (You and I)" is a song by Indonesian/French singer-songwriter Anggun. A mixed French-English song, it was the French entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The song was released as the lead single from the international edition of her album Echoes and the third single in France. The full English version of "Echo (You and I)" was later included on her Indonesia-only compilation Best-Of: Design of a Decade 2003–2013 (2013).
