Arvo Pärt is an Estonian composer. Since the late 1970s, Pärt has worked in a minimalist style that employs tintinnabuli, a compositional technique he invented. Pärt's music is in part inspired by Gregorian chant. His most performed works include Fratres (1977), Spiegel im Spiegel (1978), and Für Alina (1976). From 2011 to 2018, and again in 2022 and 2025, Pärt was the most performed living composer in the world. The Arvo Pärt Centre, in Laulasmaa, was opened to the public in 2018.

Joy Division were an English rock band formed in Salford in 1976. The group consisted of vocalist, guitarist and lyricist Ian Curtis, guitarist and keyboardist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris.

Bergtatt – Et eeventyr i 5 capitler is the debut studio album by the Norwegian band Ulver, issued in February 1995 via Head Not Found. The album was recorded at Endless Lydstudio in Oslo in November and December 1994 with Kristian Romsøe as engineer and co-producer.

Heretoir is a band formed in Augsburg in 2006 that combines post-rock and shoegazing influences with modern metal.

Fen is a post-black metal band formed in 2006 and originating in the Fens of the East of England, a region from which the band draws much of their inspiration. They have released seven full-length studio albums and two EPs, and are currently signed to German label Prophecy Productions.
