Parachute is an American pop rock band from Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. Formed in 2006, they released their major-label debut album, Losing Sleep, in 2009, followed by their second album, The Way It Was, in 2011 and their third album, Overnight, in 2013. Vanguard Records released the band's fourth album, Wide Awake, on March 11, 2016. The band independently released their fifth album, Parachute, in May 2019.

The Best Damn Thing is the third studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne, released on April 17, 2007, through RCA Records, as her first album on the label. The album represents a musical departure from her previous studio album Under My Skin (2004), which incorporated more elements of post-grunge. The Best Damn Thing is seen by critics as Lavigne's most commercial effort. The album was noted as her first effort to feature a wide range of producers, including Matt Beckley, Rob Cavallo, Dr. Luke and Lavigne herself, who was credited as the executive producer.

Stereos is a Canadian pop rock band from Edmonton, Alberta, formed in 2008. Their musical style fuses aspects of electronic music, rock, and pop. Their breakout came from appearing on the MuchMusic original series, disBAND. In October 2009, they released their debut self-titled album, Stereos.

Cute Is What We Aim For was an American pop-punk band from Buffalo, New York. Formed in 2005, they have released two albums: The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch (2006) and Rotation (2008). They were signed to record label Fueled by Ramen for their two releases.

Frou Frou are an English electronic duo composed of musician and singer Imogen Heap and record producer Guy Sigsworth. They released their only studio album, Details, in 2002. It yielded their breakout single "Breathe In", which appeared on the UK Singles Chart, and also contained the song "Let Go", which rose to popularity in the United States due to its use in the Grammy Award–winning soundtrack for Zach Braff's 2004 film Garden State. Details was received warmly by critics but sold poorly and, with no plans to release a follow-up record, the duo amicably disbanded. They briefly reunited in 2004 to record the song "Holding Out for a Hero" for the 2004 film Shrek 2's soundtrack.
