Technotronic was a Belgian electronic music project formed in 1987 by Jo Bogaert and best known for their 1989 single, "Pump Up the Jam", which features vocals by Ya Kid K. The song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Later that year, the single was followed by the album of the same name, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. Technotronic achieved further success with the singles "Get Up! " and "Move This". They went on to release the albums Body to Body (1991) and Recall (1995), and they have been inactive since 2001.

Den Harrow was an Italo disco music project that had numerous chart hits in Continental Europe during the second half of the 1980s. Den Harrow was portrayed by male model Stefano Zandri, who served as the face of the project, while American singer Tom Hooker did most of the vocals.

Information Society is an American electronic band from Minneapolis–Saint Paul, Minnesota, initially active from 1982 to 1997, primarily consisting of Paul Robb, James Cassidy and Kurt Harland Larson; the former two reconvened the band in 2006, initially with Christopher Anton as lead vocalist, then with Harland rejoining them as lead vocalist by 2008.

"Ma Baker" is a song by disco group Boney M., released as a single in 1977. It was the first single off their second album Love for Sale and their third consecutive chart-topper in (West) Germany. The song tells of a criminal called Ma Baker, who is described throughout the song as the "meanest cat" in Chicago for her callousness.
