Aer is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Slightly Stoopid and The Dirty Heads. Those roots explain a lot about how Aer arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Shwayze, The Elovaters, Little Stranger, Bryce Vine and Ballyhoo!, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Cody Simpson, DVBBS, Chef'Special, Quinn XCII and Surfaces, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around Aer, reaching back through Slightly Stoopid and forward to Cody Simpson. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
