The Elovaters

The Elovaters is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Movement, Stephen Marley, Common Kings, Fortunate Youth and Passafire. Those roots explain a lot about how The Elovaters arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Movement, Little Stranger, Fortunate Youth, Iration and Ballyhoo!, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, The Movement, Brother Ali, G. Love & Special Sauce and Stick Figure, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 47 connections around The Elovaters, reaching back through The Movement and forward to Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
