Akhenaton is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Nicholas Craven and DJ Mehdi. Those roots explain a lot about how Akhenaton arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Fonky Family, IAM, Shurik'n, Rocca and 113, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bigflo & Oli, Cut Killer, Fonky Family and L'Algérino, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 22 connections around Akhenaton, reaching back through Nicholas Craven and forward to Bigflo & Oli.
