Hip hop

Azad is a Hip hop act. Their sound grew out of Jaehyun, Massiv, Adel Tawil and Xatar. Those roots explain a lot about how Azad arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Fler, Kollegah, Farid Bang, Genetikk and Sido, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Xavas, Seryoga and Cassandra Steen, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Azad, reaching back through Jaehyun and forward to Xavas. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
