Blake Babies

Blake Babies is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Lemonheads, R.E.M. and Throwing Muses. Those roots explain a lot about how Blake Babies arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Lemonheads, Throwing Muses, Liz Phair, Letters to Cleo and Veruca Salt, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Korea Girl and Some Girls, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around Blake Babies, reaching back through The Lemonheads and forward to Korea Girl. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
