Camilo

Camilo is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Emilia Mernes, Carlos Vives, The Beatles, Shakira and Charly García. Those roots explain a lot about how Camilo arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mike Bahía, Piso 21, Maluma, Beéle and Jesse & Joy, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Johann Vera, Natti Natasha, Anitta and Becky G, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Camilo, reaching back through Emilia Mernes and forward to Johann Vera. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
