Cheque is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Fireboy DML. Those roots explain a lot about how Cheque arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Jaido P, Troniq Music, YKB, Taves and Ejoya, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Fireboy DML, Davido, Wale and Olamide, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 31 connections around Cheque, reaching back through Fireboy DML and forward to Fireboy DML.
