Davido is a Dancehall and Rhythm and blues act. Their sound grew out of Dremo, Falz, Frenna, Tyla and Kojo Funds. Those roots explain a lot about how Davido arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Olamide, Kizz Daniel, Fireboy DML, Asake and Young Jonn, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Morravey, Aramide, Sarkodie, Diamond Platnumz and Tiwa Savage, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 70 connections around Davido, reaching back through Dremo and forward to Morravey. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
