Alternative rockDisco

Chris Norman is a Alternative rock and Disco act. Their sound grew out of Nicky Chinn, C.C. Catch, Tony Carey, Modern Talking and Dieter Bohlen. Those roots explain a lot about how Chris Norman arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as F.R. David, Richard Marx, Modern Talking, Michael Bolton and Bonnie Tyler, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Level 42, Suzi Quatro, Smokie, Bonnie Tyler and Alla Pugacheva, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 40 connections around Chris Norman, reaching back through Nicky Chinn and forward to Level 42.
