Daesung is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Ayaka, DREAMS COME TRUE, Michael Jackson and Gummy. Those roots explain a lot about how Daesung arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as GD&TOP, T.O.P, Block B, F.T ISLAND and BTOB, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 20 connections around Daesung, reaching back through Ayaka. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
