DreamDoll is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Fabolous, Kalan.FrFr and Drake. Those roots explain a lot about how DreamDoll arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Asian Doll, Lakeyah, Kash Doll, Rubi Rose and Ice Spice, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Lil' Kim, CupcakKe, Young M.A, Dreezy and Latto, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around DreamDoll, reaching back through Fabolous and forward to Lil' Kim. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
