◇ image via WikipediaEkseption
Ekseption is a Progressive rock act. Their sound grew out of The Nice. Those roots explain a lot about how Ekseption arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Focus, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, The Nice, Camel and The Flower Kings, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Premiata Forneria Marconi and Survival, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 20 connections around Ekseption, reaching back through The Nice and forward to Premiata Forneria Marconi.
