Emmure is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Caliban, God Forbid, Pop Evil, Pierce the Veil and Falling in Reverse. Those roots explain a lot about how Emmure arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Acacia Strain, Miss May I, Thrown, I Killed the Prom Queen and The Ghost Inside, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into DevilDriver, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 16 connections around Emmure, reaching back through Caliban and forward to DevilDriver. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
