They run in the same orbit as Unearth, Darkest Hour, Bleeding Through, All That Remains and Chimaira, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Chimaira, Bullet for My Valentine, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God and Trivium, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation.
