Eraserheads is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Cure. Those roots explain a lot about how Eraserheads arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Parokya Ni Edgar, Rico Blanco, Bamboo, Yeng Constantino and IV Of Spades, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Itchyworms, Parokya Ni Edgar, Sonic Youth, Foo Fighters and Beastie Boys, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 16 connections around Eraserheads, reaching back through The Cure and forward to Itchyworms. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
