Finch is a Emo act. Their sound grew out of Snapcase, One Ok Rock, Drop Dead, Gorgeous and Far. Those roots explain a lot about how Finch arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Matchbook Romance, The Used, The Early November, LoveHateHero and Fightstar, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into As It Is, Senses Fail, Sleeping with Sirens, Silverstein and Brand New, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 18 connections around Finch, reaching back through Snapcase and forward to As It Is.
