One Ok Rock

Emo
EmoRap

One Ok Rock is a Emo and Rap act. Their sound grew out of News, Tyler Carter, Against the Current, Colin Brittain and High and Mighty Color. Those roots explain a lot about how One Ok Rock arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as MY FIRST STORY, Coldrain, Survive Said The Prophet, MAN WITH A MISSION and Pay Money to My Pain, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into MY FIRST STORY, Superfly, RAISE A SUILEN, 5 Seconds of Summer and Pay Money to My Pain, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 44 connections around One Ok Rock, reaching back through News and forward to MY FIRST STORY. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
