◇ image via WikipediaFuneral Party
Funeral Party is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Cure. Those roots explain a lot about how Funeral Party arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as White Rabbits, We Are Wolves, The Rapture, Bear Hands and Nine Black Alps, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Yelle, The Rapture and Moving Units, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Funeral Party, reaching back through The Cure and forward to Yelle. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
