Global Communication

Ambient
Ambient

Global Communication is a Ambient act. Their sound grew out of Chapterhouse and Mike Paradinas. Those roots explain a lot about how Global Communication arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Reload, The Black Dog, The Orb, Biosphere and Susumu Yokota, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Aphex Twin, Slowdive, Dusky, Lamb and Azymuth, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around Global Communication, reaching back through Chapterhouse and forward to Aphex Twin. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
