Horace Andy is a Reggae act. Their sound grew out of Leroy Sibbles, John Holt, Bob Andy, Augustus Pablo and Niney the Observer. Those roots explain a lot about how Horace Andy arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as King Tubby, The Heptones, Dennis Brown, U-Roy and Yabby You, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Massive Attack, Mad Professor, 1 Giant Leap, Easy Star All-Stars and Prince Jazzbo, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 49 connections around Horace Andy, reaching back through Leroy Sibbles and forward to Massive Attack.
