Keith Ape

Keith Ape is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Yuki Chiba, Ski Mask the Slump God, 88rising and OG Maco. Those roots explain a lot about how Keith Ape arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as SosMula, CRAIG XEN, Higher Brothers, Smokepurpp and Scarlxrd, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Desiigner, Waka Flocka Flame, XXXTentacion, 88rising and Young Thug, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 29 connections around Keith Ape, reaching back through Yuki Chiba and forward to Desiigner. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
