Lemonade is a Reggae act. Their sound grew out of Gold Panda, Pional and Funeral Diner. Those roots explain a lot about how Lemonade arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Greenskeepers, Gold Panda, Caribou, FC/Kahuna and Friendly Fires, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Twin Shadow, Delorean and Gold Panda, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 22 connections around Lemonade, reaching back through Gold Panda and forward to Twin Shadow. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
