Les Humphries Singers is a Country and Gospel act. Their sound grew out of Achim Reichel and The Beach Boys. Those roots explain a lot about how Les Humphries Singers arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mud, The Rubettes, Harpo, Bay City Rollers and Tony Christie, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Silver Convention, The Bellamy Brothers, Love Generation, James Last and Cartoons, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 37 connections around Les Humphries Singers, reaching back through Achim Reichel and forward to Silver Convention. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
