Silver Convention is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Les Humphries Singers, That's the Way (I Like It) and Boogie. They run in the same orbit as Sylvester, Alicia Bridges, Sister Sledge, Tavares and KC and the Sunshine Band, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Herbie Mann, Regurgitator, Stars on 45, Roberta Kelly and Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 41 connections around Silver Convention, reaching back through Les Humphries Singers and forward to Herbie Mann.
